• Your honeymoon night accommodation is provided free of charge and includes a full English breakfast in the hotel restaurant or Room Service

The Mount Nelson Hotel has a fully licensed milk Kosher Kitchen supervised by the Cape Beth Din, and our Banqueting Team is thoroughly versed in Kosher Function management. It has a large kosher kitchen ideal for kosher functions, especially weddings
which make up approximately 50 percent of events at the hotel. The hotel also has an extensive list of reliable kosher suppliers that are regularly revised and expanded as the occasion demands, and keep abreast of present trends. The extensive list of kosher menu options includes four delectable set menus, a hot and cold kosher buffet, two cocktail menus and a kosher brunch menu. In keeping with present food trends, kosher menus are lighter and less complex, emphasising the freshest, finest seasonal produce and linefish.

We offer a choice of special 'themed evenings', ranging from 'Cape Malay Experience' to 'Exotic Africa'. Themed events can be customised for individual event requirements with an extensive range to choose from. There is plenty of room for backdrops, props, tables and a large

The Mount Nelson Hotel can also arrange a host of other events such as Product Launches, Marketing Events, Exhibitions, Corporate Dinners, High Profile VIP functions, corporate conferences, audio-visual presentations, formal banquets and weddings, to smaller board meetings and intimate cocktail parties.
The hotel is ideally equipped to cater for functions large or small, with minimum of fuss and a maximum of service. Function co-ordinators are experienced in the assisting in the planning in high profile corporate events, or small intimate cocktail functions. The Banqueting department offers a “one stop shop” where service providers such as photographers, décor companies and event managers can be recommended.
